Join Fairness West Virginia at the State Capitol for Fairness For All Day, our annual Lobby Day where LGBTQ+ West Virginians and allies come together to make our voices heard and defend the freedoms that belong to all of us.
This year’s theme, “Freedom Belongs to Everyone,” reminds us that liberty, dignity, and opportunity aren’t privileges for a select few. They are core West Virginia values, rooted in our state motto Montani Semper Liberi — “Mountaineers are always free.” Freedom only has meaning when everyone shares in it.
Why You Should Attend
Your lawmakers need to hear from you — their constituents, their neighbors, their community members. When we show up together, we protect local fairness law, defend LGBTQ+ youth, stop harmful bills, and advance policies that make our state safer and more inclusive.
Whether you are:
Brand new to advocacy,
Fired up about recent political attacks,
Someone who wants to support LGBTQ+ family and friends,
Or a seasoned volunteer wanting to make a bigger impact…
You belong here. No experience necessary—we’ll guide you every step of the way.
What to Expect
A rally celebrating the strength and diversity of LGBTQ+ West Virginians
A quick advocacy training to help you talk with your lawmakers
Opportunities to meet directly with Delegates and Senators
Community-led stories and testimonies
A chance to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with people fighting for dignity and fairness
We’ll give you everything you need: talking points, fact sheets, schedules, and support.
Why It Matters
This legislative session will move fast, and LGBTQ+ rights are once again under threat. But the Fairness For All Day is where we turn frustration into action and hope into momentum. When everyday people show up, lawmakers listen. Together, we can protect our communities, strengthen our towns, and ensure that freedom truly belongs to everyone in West Virginia.
